That enduring rocker and one-man sustainer of the eyeliner industry Alice Cooper has split from his record label, Epic, and is rumoured to be set to sign a new deal with Hollywood Records, whose company president is Alice's old A&R man from Epic.
Meanwhile, work is continuing on the three-disc boxed set being put together in conjunction with his original label, Warner Bros. Alice (or Vincent Furnier as he is named on his passport and his old school reports) will also be contributing a track to a forthcoming tribute album to deceased one-time Beatle John Lennon.
The only live shows from Alice this year are expected to be a series of dates on the South American leg of the Monsters of Rock tour, along with Ozzy Osbourne and Therapy? Among others.
