Rock back in time
The millennium may be looming, but one rock tour promises to take music fans back in time.
The Ultimate Rock Symphony Arena Spectacular will feature vintage rockers Alice Cooper, Roger Daltry (The Who), Peter Frampton, Thelma Houston, Jack Bruce (Cream), Eric Burdon, Gary Brooker (Procul Harum), Paul Rogers (Bad Company) and local performers Jimmy Barnes and Bill Thorpe.
The rock legends will be backed by a house band that includes Zak Starkey, son of Beatle Ringo Starr, and Simon Townshend, brother of Who guitarist Pete, as well as a 10-piece choir.
"All the artists will be playing their old hits," publicist Di Rolle said of the 2 1/2 hour show.
