Hits don't miss for Cooper, Scorpions
...The shaggy-haired, clad-in-black Cooper included a political song, the timeless "Elected," which overflowed with his sarcastic humor. Three men in Presidential masks (of Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan & Richard Nixon) threw fake money into the crowd & brawled with each other. Cooper wisely started his set with a blast of five rockers from his early 1970's heyday, his tight, five piece band providing muscle & precision. "No More Mr. Nice Guy" & "Under My Wheels" sounded as rough as ever. And given the irony of a 48 year old man singing "Eighteen" to many people who weren't even born when it came out, the song retained its edge.
